Explore and Create - Kith and Kin: New Glass and Ceramics

Suitable for Key Stages 1 and 2

Sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am - 12.30pm, includes the Glass Blowing Demonstration

Exhibition dates: Thursday 9 November 2011 - Sunday 19 February 2012

Students will explore the exhibition, Kith and Kin: New Glass and Ceramics, with our Learning Team working in groups and individually will complete activities in the gallery before moving on to a practical session inspired by the work on display.

Choose from Creative Workshops:

Glass Fused Mosaic Tile (£8 per student)  (age 6+)
Students will design and create their own artwork using coloured glass tiles which will then be fired in the kiln.
Tiles can be picked up one week after the workshop.

Glass Painted Tile (£5 per student) (age 5+)
Students will design and create their own art work using glass paints on a clear glass tile. Artworks can be taken home at the end of the workshop.

Sessions include the glass blowing demonstration with commentary in NGC's Studio.
