“If only cities could dream a little more than they do.

Kathryn Hodgkinson creates work in the public realm because it offers the opportunity to use our everyday environments as an interface for unexpected moments and curious interventions.

Section 106 is a series of sketches that remove the usual parameters of logistics, budget, planning and 'design by committee’; instead they allow the cityscape to become a playful canvas for expression.”

Kathryn is a former student of University of Sunderland Glass and Ceramics and has been working in the public realm for over 10 years; she has commissions in Newcastle City Library, Sunniside, and Falmouth College of Arts amongst others.
