Final year students of the University of Sunderland are emerging artists who have used glass and ceramics to express themselves in a world of visual and tactile art. They have conceived, designed and made individual pieces that vary from the functional to the sculptural, from small-scale to monumental. The works produced are not bound by restrictions other than the imagination and talent of each student. The diversity of techniques and the range of skills presented in these works show the student's ability to turn ideas and drawings into three-dimensional reality.
The final year degree show takes place at the National Glass Centre from 12 - 15 June, with a preview on Friday 11 June, 6-8pm.
