Bringing together the talent of Sunderland schools and community groups, The Way of The Wear is a collaborative drawing project in association with National Glass Centre and ‘The Campaign for Drawing’.
As part of NGC’s celebration of the past, present and future of the River Wear, this project gives participants an opportunity to create their own representation of the river.
Participants spend a session drawing the riverscape from life, before tracing their drawings onto the wall, then working on the tracings with a range of drawing materials and techniques.
NGC would like to thank Valley Road Community Primary School, Broadway Junior School and Assign Arts Group for taking part in this project.
