Museums at Night
To celebrate the exhibition launch of our Summer exhibition 3 Solo Shows Revised, which features the work of Mexican glass artists the De La Torre Brothers, we will be hosting a FREE Mexican Family Fun Day and Fiesta from 10.00 – 22.00.
The De La Torre brother’s vibrant work ranges from hot glass to lenticular printing and their influences include traditional Mexican Folk Art, popular culture, and art history. The themed daytime and evening activities will focus on the De La Torre Brothers work and will include Mexican themed glass painting, storytelling and face painting, make your own glass bead pendant workshops for adults and spectacular glass blowing demonstrations by the De La Torre Brothers themselves.
In the evening the Mexican Fiesta will continue in The Glass Yard, in association with ¡VAMOS! Festival. Visitors can enjoy a delicious Mexican themed tapas menu, live music from a traditional Mariachi band and salsa dancing while the sun goes down!
