Final day of install... yesterday was one of those days when nothing much happens until the last hour - which was a late one - Rose and I didn't finish until 9ish.
Neil Brownsword arrived, and Alan Sykes who's working on the press for us.
Paul came in yesterday and spent some time tweaking the position of his ceramics with me and Georgina. The photographer was taking pictures for press.
Caterina took us for lunch at the Biennale cafe on the Grand Canal. Some very large crates from the Stedelijk Museum were being unloaded - we took a guess that they were Schnabel's plates. Rose, Paul and Georgina all went to Murano, Rose was collecting her glass. It was late by the time she got back to the gallery and we needed to start to think about the installation before leaving.
Neil will come to the gallery this morning with me and Sarah - leaving in about half an hour. There is a Vaparetto strike today. On this occasion there is still a boat from the Lido (there has to be at least one from the islands) but it only makes one stop - St Mark's.
Everything is nearly there but not quite...
Visit our blog again tomorrow to hear more from the NGC Programme team in Venice, installing “‘Interloqui’.
