CARCuos, the Ceramic Arts Research Centre at the University of Sunderland, is delighted to announce that world renowned ceramics scholar Garth Clark will be giving a lecture titled 'Mind Mud: Ai Weiwei Ceramics' on 14 March at 11am. As part of a European visit he will be giving lectures in Paris, Scandinavia and one other in the UK at the RCA/ V&A Museum.
Garth Clark is an art dealer, collector, curator, historian and writer, having written and contributed to over fifty books and more than two hundred articles and essays on ceramics, art, craft and design. Together with his partner Mark Del Vecchio they put together one of the most important international collections of ceramics over many decades which now resides in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the forthcoming exhibition 'Shifting Paradigms in Contemporary Ceramics' will showcase work from the collection.
