The National Glass Centre offers a variety of glassmaking experience packages, giving beginners the chance to try their hand at the traditional art of glassmaking.
The One to One Glassmaking Experience package offers an unforgettable, intensive, hands-on glassmaking session available as either a half day or full day package. You should expect to finish the day having made a range of items including paperweights and small blown vessels. Your glassmaker will work closely with you, overseeing every process & will assist you as much or as little as you require.
You will learn how to gather glass from the furnace; form & shape the glass with newspaper & other tools; apply colour; create pattern with colour; blow glass & convert bubbles of glass into beautiful objects. These experiences are available as gift vouchers and make ideal presents.
