Tim Shaw, Australian/UK
Visiting Artist, Summer 2010
Tim is internationally recognised for his talent and his work has been described as ‘seductive and alluring’. He has an MA from the Royal College of Art, London, which is where he further refined and honed his glass making skills.
Since leaving full time education, Tim has exhibited his work as far afield as the UK, USA, Asia and Australia, where he has been based for the past nine years. He now runs his own hot glass workshop, which is one of the few independent studios in South Australia. He also acts as a mentor and trainer to emerging artists and students, most recently teaching glass making in Swaziland and Turkey.
