Midori Shinmura
Midori creates unusual and well crafted glass and silver jewellery. Her kiln formed glass often places animal forms within a human context, for example a hippotamus form floating over a cityscape. Midori hopes that the juxtaposition of forms inspire humour although the viewer is free to interpret them as they wish. Midori uses a hot pour technique, incorporating glass and metal inclusions.
