A retrospective of the work of Erwin Eisch
For the first major exhibition in our new Gallery we present a retrospective of the work of European pioneer of Studio Glass, Erwin Eisch. Clouds Have Been My Foothold All Along features drawings, prints, paintings and glass from the 1950s onwards and charts the career of Erwin Eisch and his major influence on the foundation and growth of the international Studio Glass movement. Across all media Eisch’s work is highly distinctive in style and in theme. He challenges theory, addresses social and political issues, combines humour and serious thought and explores the importance of human relationships.
