The Contemporary Glass Society and National Glass Centre launch second year of showcase displays for contemporary glass
Two of the UK’s top glass organisations have joined together to create a contemporary glass showcase featuring the work of CGS members. A special display case in the lower foyer entrance at National Glass Centre will be dedicated to a year-long display of a wide variety of glass made by members of the Contemporary Glass Society.
“National Glass Centre is thrilled to be working with CGS once again to showcase the best work in glass. The variety and creativity of the work is testament to the high quality of CGS members and we are particularly pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for visitors to purchase a unique piece of glass.”
From Spring 2015 to Spring 2016, the work of fourteen artists will be put on show in this prominent area of the Centre, with a total of seven showcases each displaying two CGS members’ work for a six week period. The work will be a vibrant and varied range of sculptural, decorative and functional pieces, and they will all be available for sale - a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of unique and handcrafted contemporary glass by both well known and up and coming makers.
